Sundays



Sunday mornings are for coffee, pancakes and crossword puzzles. Our Sunday suppers are usually the most involved for the week, and include dessert. What about in your house?

This sunday's supper will be a family favourite. I've yet to decide if I will serve it with roasted potatoes, polenta or maybe I'll use the squash that's been sitting on the counter for over a week and make a risotto. I have carrots and parsnips to roast and they could make a nice salad with pear, apple and arugula.

Speaking of things to use up, there's a ton of cranberries in our freezer. This dessert looks like a nice way to finish off our fall themed Sunday meal.

And finally, I've been reading a lot about kombucha, drinking vinegars and shrubs lately. This is another way to use up some cranberries and the process seems quick and easy relative to some others.
